Alaska’s Lost Coast
The Kaliakh-Duktoth River region, on Alaska’s Lost Coast, is one of the most remote destinations in Alaska. Located 120 miles west of the coastal village of Yakutat, the Lodge lies on the southern edge of the Yakataga State Game Refuge in the rugged wilderness region between the Kaliakh and Duktoth Rivers.
The only Lodge on these rivers, the Kaliakh Wilderness Lodge accommodates up to six guests per group for a five day, six night individualized wilderness and fly fishing adventure. Fly fishing enthusiasts will enjoy fishing for Silver Salmon, Steelhead, Cutthroat, Rainbow and Dolly Varden trout in a variety of venues. The avid bird and wildlife watcher and will see thousands of shorebirds as they migrate along the Pacific Flyway; observe nesting Trumpeter and Tundra Swans on the lakes behind the Lodge and watch from a viewing blind as bears, wolves, moose and fox travel along the game trail. For a change of scenery, canoe in the lakes above the Lodge while beaver paddle by and moose graze on the shore or spend a day beachcombing and whale watching along miles of sandy shoreline.
